A nightfire at the Governor’s residence in Pennsylvania is being investigated as a fire, said the Pennsylvania state police on Sunday.
Governor Josh Shapiro and his family were at the residence at the time of the fire, which was reported at 2 in the morning.
“The governor and his family were present in a different part of the residence. They were safely evacuated and were not injured,” state police said in a statement.
“My family and I woke up with blows to the Penylvania state police after an artificial fire set fire to the Governor’s residence in Harrisburg. The Harrisburg fire office was on stage and while working to turn off the fire, we were evacuated from the safe residence by the State Police of Pennsylvania and attended the police officer,” Shapirir in a statement.

“Thank God, no one was injured and the fire became extinguished,” he added.
The State Police said that while the investigation continues, “the State Police is prepared to say at this time that this was an act of fire.”
The fire caused “a significant amount of damage” apart from the residence, according to the State Police.
While they work to determine a suspect and a reason behind the alleged attack of caused fires, the authorities analyze if it could have been fed by the fact that Governor Shapiro is Jewish and the fire was established on the first Easter night, a senior official of the law reported on the investigation to ABC News.
